A family-owned Texas motor carrier
Southern Premier Trucking began in August 2025 with one truck and one driver. That driver is still with us.
How we got here
Southern Premier Trucking started in August 2025 the way most small carriers start — one truck, one driver and freight that had to get where it was going. What has changed since then is scale, not approach. The driver who took our first load still drives for us.
Today we operate a six-truck and growing fleet: 5 heavy-duty trucks and a hotshot operation, running multiple 48-foot flatbeds and step-deck equipment. We are expanding into sand-hauling and oilfield support work, and we continue to add capability.
The company is family-owned and headquartered in Lufkin, Texas. The people whose names are on the business are the people who answer the phone.

Texas based, with regional and long-haul capability
Our daily operating footprint is the Texas triangle between Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth and Austin–San Antonio, along with the markets and communities in between.
Beyond Texas we regularly run into Kansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Indiana and Illinois. When a customer needs freight moved farther than that, we will go where the freight requires.

We treat safety as an ongoing operational responsibility. Our drivers receive continuing education, and we keep them current on safe-driving practices and the regulatory requirements that apply to their work.
