Chris Todd brings a broad background in Texas industry, with experience spanning industrial coatings, lumber and engineered wood products, transportation and logistics. Before founding Southern Premier Trucking, his career included sales and trading roles that gave him firsthand experience working with manufacturers, suppliers and industrial customers across Texas. He now leads SPT’s day-to-day operations and continued growth, with a focus on developing long-term customer relationships and identifying new transportation opportunities. Chris is a 2000 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.

Melvin “Meb” Todd brings more than 45 years of financial and business experience to Southern Premier Trucking. A Certified Public Accountant, he began his career with Ernst & Young in Dallas before returning to Lufkin, where he founded the accounting firm now known as Todd, Hamaker & Johnson, LLP and continues to serve as a partner. His experience in accounting, taxation, financial planning and business structuring provides SPT with seasoned financial oversight as the company continues to grow. Meb earned his BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin.

Clark Todd brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience in the transportation and maritime industries. He was named President and Chief Operating Officer of Blessey Marine Services in 2005 and has remained active in industry and civic leadership throughout his career. Clark currently serves as President and an Executive Board member of the American Waterways Operators and holds leadership or board roles with the National Waterways Foundation, Junior Achievement of New Orleans, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Energy and Transportation Committee, and the Estes Family Foundation. He is a 2002 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and holds an MBA from Southeastern Louisiana University.
